Rodeo Tailored Set
ARC-007 — Archive
It started as a tailoring exercise in fashion school, a classic vest and trouser suit. But classic was never quite enough for me, so I reimagined it in turquoise cotton corduroy and covered it in metal studs from top to bottom.
The trousers carry the front darts of traditional tailoring, the ones that create that clean, fluid drape, along with proper interior facings like any well-constructed tailored trouser, two side pockets and two back pockets, and a front closure with a buttonhole button and zip. On the outside, two rows of metal studs run down each leg, giving it the cool edge a classroom exercise never had.
The vest follows the same logic: same fabric, same spirit. Two front pockets, a front closure with star-motif buttonhole buttons, fully lined, and studs tracing every edge, neckline, armholes, and hem, like a silver outline over turquoise.
Materials
Turquoise cotton corduroy, metal studs, star-motif metal buttons, satin lining (vest).
Fit
Trousers: front darts, two side pockets, two back pockets, front closure with buttonhole button and zip, studs along both outer leg seams.
Vest: front closure with buttonhole metal buttons, two front pockets, fully lined, studs tracing neckline, armholes, and hem.
Wear it with
Together, as the rebel-tailored set it was made to be, or apart: the vest over a white shirt for an urban edge, the trousers alone with a simple top to let the studs do the talking.
Tailoring with attitude.
