At first glance, it reads as a fitted blazer dress, sharp lapels, a wrap front, a cowboy buckle cinching the waist. Look closer and the secret reveals itself: it's a romper.
Handmade from a remnant of turquoise corduroy found among my aunt's fabric collection, she was a fashion designer, and every piece born from her leftover fabrics carries a little of that story. This one is finished with soft pink fringe that sweeps across the front yoke, over the shoulders, and down the back, a silhouette built to hide another, made for the second look.
Materials
Turquoise cotton corduroy, soft pink fringe trim, metallic western-style belt buckle.
Fit
Wrap-front closure with a fitted cowboy-style belt, button cuffs at the sleeves, fringe detailing along the front and back yoke and shoulders.
Wear it with
